Facebook Lead Ads

Facebook Lead Ads is a separate source type from Facebook Messenger. Where Messenger is a two-way chat, Lead Ads is a one-time form submission — a prospect clicks your Facebook ad, fills out a lead form, and submits it. Auto-Respond captures that submission and can send a confirmation, push the lead to your CRM, and notify your team.

ℹ️

There is no chat on a Lead Ads source. Because Lead Ads aren’t conversational, the usual messaging tabs (Conversation Setup, Follow-ups, Timing) are hidden. Only Integrations and Contact Info are shown.

What gets captured from Facebook Lead Ads

Whatever the Lead Ads form collected is passed through to Auto-Respond, typically including:

The exact fields depend on how you built the Lead Ads form in Facebook Ads Manager.

Connecting a Facebook Lead Ads source

Open Sources

In Auto-Respond, go to Sources and click Add Facebook Lead Ads.

Sign in to Facebook and authorize

You’ll be redirected to Facebook. Sign in with the Facebook account that manages the Page running the Lead Ads and grant Auto-Respond permission to receive Lead Ads submissions for that Page. Your Facebook password is never shared with Auto-Respond — only a secure access token is returned after you approve.

Pick which Pages to activate

After authorizing, you’ll see a list of the Pages your Facebook account manages. Activate each Page whose Lead Ads submissions you want Auto-Respond to capture. Each activated Page becomes its own Lead Ads source with its own Integrations, Contact Info settings, and billing line.

Review activation

The Sources page now shows each activated Lead Ads source as a separate card with a green Active status, the Page name, and a link to its configuration.
